Glaciers are faster

OK. . .so when I said we were moving slowly, I didn't realize that we'd move at what can only be categorized as a glacial rate; but this really isn't such a bad thing. We received word this week from Van's that the wing kit, originally scheduled to be delivered the last week in May, is now delayed and will not arrive until approximately mid-June. Although we're disappointed by this, it does give us time to get some of the projects we've put on hold finished before the wings arrive. Before they get here we need to 1) finish the tail cone; 2) put a small air conditioning unit into the garage to deal with the Texas summer heat; 3) build the racks for the wings.

Non-aviation related projects on the agenda include 1) replacing the pool pump . . .Mark worked on this every day after school this week, but as all projects go we've run into a few glitches too lengthy to include here. 2) Build raised gardening beds in the backyard to spruce up the landscaping. 3) Get to work on having the back room put onto the house. And, as always, Mark is working on the ever-present graduate school. Have I mentioned recently how ready we are for summer to be here to give us time to work on all of this?

Here's to hoping that a little work gets done on the plane this week. =)

  1. Update this thing please!!

You could at least put down Mark's Birthday as the highlight of the month.
